Admission Requirements for the
Dual-Title Degree in Women's Studies and Curriculum & Instruction

Prospective students seeking admission to the dual-title degree program should apply directly to the cooperating department, using that department's specific application guidelines. For more about admission requirements for the Department of Curriculum & Instruction, click here.

Each applicant should state that she/he wishes to apply to the dual-title degree in Women's Studies, and should include in the application a statement of purpose that addresses the ways in which her/his research and professional goals reflect an interest in interdisciplinary and feminist research. Both the Women's Studies program and the cooperating department will evaluate applications and decide on admission.

Applicants must meet the admission requirements set forth by the Graduate School and the co-operating department. They should have a junior/senior cumulative average of at least 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale) and appropriate course background.
