Women's Studies Graduate Student Awards

WOMEN'S STUDIES OUTSTANDING GRADUATE STUDENT AWARD
Nominations are being sought for the Women's Studies Outstanding Graduate Student Award, which recognizes excellence in Women's Studies scholarship.  Students must be either in the Women's Studies dual degree program or Women's Studies graduate minors to be eligible for the award.  Self-nominations are welcomed. Nominations should include:

  • A one-page statement from the students that addresses the way in which Women's Studies research has shaped his or her scholarship
  • Two letters of recommendation that focus on the student's research
  • A current CV
  • A current transcript
Applications are due February 13, 2008. Please submit all materials ( including letters of recommendation ) to the Women's Studies Graduate Matters Committee, c/o Graduate Staff Assistant, Women's Studies Department, 133 Willard Building, University Park, PA 16802.  If you have questions, contact Bénédicte Monicat.

WOMEN'S STUDIES OUTSTANDING GRADUATE STUDENT TEACHING AWARD
Nominations are being sought for the Women's Studies Outstanding Graduate Student Teaching Award, which recognizes excellence in Women's Studies teaching.  Students must be either in the Women's Studies Dual Degree Program or currently serve as Women's Studies Teaching Assistants to be eligible for the award.   Students do not have to teach in Women’s Studies to apply for this award. Self-nominations are welcome. Nominations should include:

  • A one-page teaching philosophy
  • Two letters of recommendation from either faculty or students that focus on the student's teaching
  • Copies of SRTE scores
  • A current CV
  • A current transcript
Applications are due February 13, 2008.
