Women's Studies Graduate Funding

Women's Studies offers several graduate teaching assistantships on a competitive basis to advanced students in Women's Studies. Assistantships include a tuition waiver in addition to a modest stipend.

Women's Studies Graduate Teaching Assistantships

Applications are being sought for Women's Studies Graduate Teaching Assistants for the 2013-2014 academic year. Graduate TAs in Women's Studies typically are responsible for teaching sections of either Women's Studies 100, "Introduction to Women's and Gender Studies," or Women's Studies 106, "Representing Women and Gender in Literature, Art, and Popular Cultures." Applications should include:

  • A one-page teaching philosophy
  • Two letters of recommendation from either faculty or students that address your teaching ability
  • A current CV
  • A current transcript
  • Copies of SRTE scores (if available)

Applications are due February 25, 2013. Please submit all materials ( including letters of recommendation ) to the Women's Studies Graduate Matters Committee, c/o Lisa Batchelor, Women's Studies Department, 133 Willard Building, University Park, PA 16802.  If you have questions, contact Joan Landes.
